Megan Thee Stallion Stuns at Met Gala in Michael Kors Gown

New York City, NY – Megan Thee Stallion made a dramatic return to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for this year’s Met Gala after a three-year absence. The Grammy-winning rapper arrived in style on Monday night, showcasing a stunning gown designed by Michael Kors.
The eye-catching ensemble featured halterneck straps, a sweetheart neckline, and a thigh-high leg slit, adorned with glitzy silver sparkles. Megan completed her look with a massive white fur coat that trailed elegantly behind her, adding even more flair to her appearance. She also wore sparkling jewelry designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
The theme for this year’s Met Gala is “Tailored for You,” inspired by the Costume Institute’s exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The exhibition draws influence from the book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity” by Monica L. Miller. Andrew Bolton, the head curator, shared his thoughts on the exhibition’s importance, stating, “I feel that the show itself marks a really important step in our commitment to diversifying our exhibitions and collections, as well as redressing some of the historical biases within our curatorial practice.”
This year’s exhibition is particularly significant as it is the first since 2003 to focus exclusively on menswear. Celebrities like Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, and Lewis Hamilton have been highlighted in connection with this theme.
Megan last graced the Met Gala red carpet in 2022, attending the event in a custom Moschino outfit by Jeremy Scott, which embodied that year’s “Gilded Glamour” dress code.
