Melanie Griffith Celebrates Daughter’s Engagement with Rare Family Photo

Los Angeles, CA – Actress Melanie Griffith shared a rare photo of her daughter, Stella Banderas Griffith, on Saturday, June 8, during the opening of a new film studio in Los Angeles. The event celebrated Stella’s fiancé, Alex Gruszynski, who co-founded the platform with Aidan Cullen.

Griffith, 67, posted a picture on Instagram, captioning it, “My beautiful daughter @stellabanderasgriffith and @sienaseverino and me celebrating the opening of @itsnova new photo/film studio in LA! It’s a gorgeous space, ready now!!”

In her post, Griffith expressed pride for Gruszynski, calling him her future son-in-law. “Congratulations to @alexgruszynski (my future son in law) and his partner @aidancullen1 on this new part of NOVA!! ❤️🥰💋🥰❤️⭐️,” she wrote.

Stella announced her engagement to Gruszynski on Instagram in August 2024, sharing how excited she was to spend her life with him. “I get to hang out with my favorite person on earth forever!!!!!!!!” she wrote alongside photos of their journey together.

Stella and Gruszynski have known each other since childhood; they began dating in 2015, briefly separated in 2019, but rekindled their relationship in 2023. Griffith shares Stella with ex-husband Antonio Banderas, 63. The couple, who married in 1996, divorced in 2015 but maintain a close relationship.

Griffith expressed her love for both of her children, stating that all the fathers of her kids remain friends. “All three of them are my friends,” she said in a 2020 interview. Additionally, she shared that her children have inspired her to embrace new possibilities in her own life.

Stella has pursued a career in the arts like her mother and father. She has ventured into modeling and launched a beauty brand called Lightbound in 2021. Antonio Banderas commented on his daughter’s engagement, expressing his happiness for the couple. “I feel great! She’s happy, I’m happy,” he said.
