Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet Fashion

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The 2025 Met Gala is set for May 5, 2025, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrating the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” This year’s exhibition focuses on the style, politics, and history surrounding Black men’s fashion.

With a ticket price of $75,000, the event attracts top celebrities and fashion enthusiasts. Guests are scheduled to arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET. The red carpet can be streamed live on platforms like Vogue’s YouTube channel and E!.

Singer and actor Teyana Taylor, actor La La Anthony, and “Saturday Night Live” star Ego Nwodim will host the Met Gala livestream. The exhibition, inspired by Monica L. Miller‘s 2009 book “Slaves to Fashion,” aims to explore how Black style signifies identity and power.

Miller highlighted that, historically, tailored clothing was scarce for Black individuals, making tailors vital in their communities. The gala’s dress code, “Tailored For You,” emphasizes the importance of well-fitted menswear.

This year’s event will spotlight a variety of styles, from the zoot suit popularized in the 1940s jazz era to the vibrant ensembles of Congolese sapeurs. Celebrities like A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Lewis Hamilton will serve as co-chairs, with LeBron James as an honorary co-chair.

The exclusive guest list remains under wraps but typically includes hundreds of stars, including frequent attendees like Rihanna and Zendaya. However, some, like Jack Schlossberg, have opted to boycott this year’s gala due to global and domestic issues.

The Met Gala will continue to be a focal point of pop culture, drawing attention to its themes and fashion statements throughout the night.
