Metallica Takes Over Charlotte with Exciting Events Ahead of Concert

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Metallica is gearing up for a big weekend in the Queen City as they prepare for their concert at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday. The band has planned a series of events leading up to the show, including a film screening, a blood drive, and volunteer opportunities.

The festivities start on Friday with a ‘Charlotte Takeover’ at the Second Harvest of Metrolina on Spratt Street. This event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is part of Metallica’s ‘All Within My Hands Volunteer Opportunity’ initiative.

Also on Friday, fans can donate blood at a drive being held at Bank of America Stadium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is in partnership with the American Red Cross.

<pAt 7 p.m. on Friday, attendees can catch a sneak peek of Metallica's latest film project, 'Metallica Saved My Life,' screening at AMC Carolina Pavilion 22.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, Metallica will host a pop-up shop at 1200 S Graham Street, where fans can purchase limited edition album pressings, event t-shirts, and a Charlotte-exclusive concert poster. The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

This tour, part of Metallica’s 2025 M72 North America Tour, began in April and will continue through the end of June. It supports their latest album, ‘72 Seasons.’ Each stop on the tour features similar events, showcasing the band’s commitment to community engagement.

Metallica last performed in Charlotte in 2018 at the Spectrum Center, making this weekend’s concert their first at the largest stadium in North Carolina.
