Miami Dolphins Vs Tennessee Titans

The Miami Dolphins are set to host the Tennessee Titans at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, as part of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. Both teams are currently struggling this season and desperately need a victory to improve their standings. The Dolphins, led by backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, are currently 1-2, while the Titans are winless at 0-3.

The game, which will be nationally televised on ESPN, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time. Miami is coming off a significant defeat — a 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Titans faced a 31-14 defeat against the Green Bay Packers last week. The Dolphins will be without key players, including their starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is on injured reserve, and running back Raheem Mostert, who is inactive due to a chest injury.

In contrast, the Titans are dealing with injuries of their own. Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons is listed as doubtful with an elbow injury, and quarterback Will Levis is questionable with a knee injury. Levis has struggled with consistency this season, contributing turnovers in previous games. Mason Rudolph is expected to take over should Levis be unable to continue.

ESPN reports that Titans head coach Brian Callahan intends to give Rudolph at least one more series. Tonight’s matchup offers Tennessee a chance to finally secure their first win of the season under Callahan. Additionally, the Titans’ offense will be looking to capitalize on any slip-ups from the Dolphins’ defensive line, which has shown vulnerabilities.

On the Miami side, Tyler Huntley is expected to start. Huntley, who previously backed up Lamar Jackson with the Baltimore Ravens, will have the full arsenal of Dolphins offensive weapons at his disposal, notably wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

According to SportsLine, Miami is a 2.5-point favorite, a line that has shifted from an opening of -6.5. Both teams’ struggles are reflected in the current over/under total points set at 37.5, down from an initial 47.0.

CBS Sports analyst White has noted his confidence in both the Dolphins and Titans’ abilities to cover the spread, referencing a past success rate of 643-543-34 in against-the-spread picks.

Kickoff conditions are forecasted to be warm, with temperatures around 86 degrees and a heat index of 95, according to the National Weather Service. Light winds and a low chance of precipitation are also predicted.
