Midnight Society Terminates Relationship with Dr Disrespect Amid Allegations

Amid allegations surrounding the permanent ban of popular streamer Dr Disrespect from Twitch, game studio Midnight Society, co-founded by the streamer, has decided to terminate its relationship with him. The decision comes after an investigation into the allegations made against Dr Disrespect by former Twitch employee Cody Conners, who claimed the ban was due to inappropriate contact with a minor on the platform. Midnight Society made the announcement on Monday, severing ties with the streamer.

Robert Bowling, another co-founder of Midnight Society and a former developer at Infinity Ward, addressed the situation on social media, mentioning that he was actively looking into the matter. The studio’s move to cut ties with Dr Disrespect followed the surfacing of these serious allegations, despite the streamer’s denial of any wrongdoing.

Dr Disrespect, known for his larger-than-life online persona, had previously been banned from Twitch in 2020, leading to a period of uncertainty and speculations surrounding the reasons for his expulsion from the platform. The streamer later moved to YouTube to continue his content creation.

In their statement, Midnight Society expressed the need to uphold their principles and standards as a studio, stating that the relationship termination was necessary in light of the allegations against Dr Disrespect.
