Miley Cyrus Flowers Billboard Chart Milestone

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Miley Cyrus‘ hit single “Flowers” has reached a historic milestone, spending 104 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s global charts. The song, released in early 2023, continues to defy expectations as it celebrates two full years of chart dominance.

As of this week, “Flowers” remains on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, marking Cyrus’ longest-running hit to date. The track currently sits at No. 73 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 84 on the Global 200, demonstrating its enduring popularity worldwide.

“This is a remarkable achievement for any artist,” said Hugh McIntyre, a music journalist who covers global chart trends. “While some songs have managed similar longevity, ‘Flowers’ stands out as Miley’s most successful single in terms of chart performance.”

The song’s success extends beyond the global charts. On the U.S.-specific Adult Contemporary radio ranking, “Flowers” holds strong at No. 2 this week, just one position shy of the top spot. The track previously set a record by spending 57 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on this chart.

“Flowers” now joins an elite group of songs that have spent at least 100 weeks on the Adult Contemporary chart. Other notable entries include Sia‘s “Unstoppable” (117 weeks) and Savage Garden’s record-holding “I Knew I Loved You” (124 weeks).

Cyrus’ previous chart records include her feature on The Kid Laroi‘s “Without You,” which spent 59 weeks on the Billboard Global 200, and her solo hit “Midnight Sky,” which charted for 38 weeks. However, “Flowers” has far surpassed these achievements, cementing its place in pop music history.

The singer has hinted at new creative projects, including a visual album inspired by the 1982 film “Pink Floyd – The Wall.” As “Flowers” continues to bloom on the charts, Cyrus remains one of the most enduring figures in contemporary pop music.
