Minnesota Vikings Vs San Francisco 49ers 2024

The Minnesota Vikings have revealed their list of inactive players for this week’s matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The following Vikings players will not be participating in the game: receiver Jordan Addison, quarterback Brett Rypien, cornerbacks Fabian Moreau and Dwight McGlothern, defensive linemen Levi Drake Rodriguez and Jalen Redmond, and tackle Walter Rouse.

Jordan Addison sustained an ankle injury during the Week 1 game against New York, which has led to his absence this week. Brett Rypien, listed as the third quarterback for the Vikings, is eligible to step in only if starter Sam Darnold and backup Nick Mullens are injured during the game. Moreau, McGlothern, Rodriguez, Redmond, and Rouse are out for the second consecutive week.

Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers have also announced their inactives, which include quarterback Joshua Dobbs, cornerback Darrell Luter, Jr., safety Talanoa Hufanga, linebacker Dee Winters, and offensive lineman Ben Bartch. Dobbs, who had a stint with the Vikings in 2023, can only take the field if both starting quarterback Brock Purdy and backup Brandon Allen are unable to play.

Notably, the 49ers have placed their running back Christian McCaffrey on Injured Reserve, preventing him from participating in the upcoming games. These updates significantly impact the lineup for both teams as they face off in the second week of the 2024 season.
