Minnesota Wild Dominate St. Louis Blues in Season Opener

ST. LOUIS, MO — The Minnesota Wild kicked off their NHL season with a commanding 5-0 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night at Enterprise Center. Goaltender Filip Gustavsson shined, securing his 12th career shutout with 27 saves.
Newly signed player Kirill Kaprizov left his mark, scoring twice and contributing three assists in his debut after signing an eight-year, $136 million contract. His strong performance showcased his significance to the team right from the start of the season.
Ryan Hartman and Matt Boldy also made contributions, with Hartman scoring late in the first period and Boldy netting a goal in the second, marking his 300th career point. Boldy beat Blues goalie Jordan Binnington from close range, solidifying the Wild’s lead.
The Wild maintained their offensive pressure throughout the game, with goals coming from several players, including Hartman, who scored at 4:06 of the first period, and Boldy, who added another at 2:24 in the second.
