Minnesota Wild Prepares for Clash with Vegas Golden Knights Tonight
SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild will host the Vegas Golden Knights this Sunday evening at Grand Casino Arena. The matchup comes after a strong performance by Wild goalie Jesper Wallstedt, who secured a shutout victory against the Anaheim Ducks last night.
The projected lineup for the Wild features forwards Kirill Kaprizov, Ryan Hartman, and Mats Zuccarello against the Golden Knights. Other notable players include Marcus Johansson and Joel Eriksson Ek.
On the defensive side, the Wild will rely on Jonas Brodin and Brock Faber to hold down the blue line, with goaltenders Filip Gustavsson and Jesper Wallstedt alternating in net. Wallstedt’s exceptional play has put him in the spotlight, supporting the Wild’s comeback from a rough patch.
The Golden Knights, coming off a 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues, will look to build on this momentum. Their lineup features Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner among others. Both teams are playing back-to-back games, with the Wild currently holding a record of 8-7-4 and the Golden Knights at 8-4-5.
As of now, several injuries may affect the teams. The Golden Knights are missing key players Adin Hill and William Karlsson, while the Wild have listed Nico Sturm and Zach Bogosian among their injured players.
The puck is set to drop at 6 p.m. ET, and fans can catch the action on various platforms including ESPN+ and FOX Sports Las Vegas. With both teams poised for a competitive match, it promises to be an exciting night for hockey fans.
