T Mobile 5g Speed Test Results

SEATTLE, Wash. — T-Mobile has set a new benchmark in 5G technology, achieving record download speeds of 4.3 Gbps and an extraordinary 6.3 Gbps in recent tests. These tests were conducted in real-world conditions using the company’s 5G Standalone (5G SA) network and innovative 6-Carrier Aggregation technology.

The combined results were reported on March 18, 2025, showcasing T-Mobile’s capabilities at a time when the demand for high-speed mobile internet continues to rise. The 4.3 Gbps speed was achieved using a Samsung Galaxy S25, while the impressive 6.3 Gbps result was reached with a specialized Qualcomm test device.

T-Mobile’s announcement emphasized the significance of these speeds, allowing users to stream every Super Bowl ever played in 8K resolution simultaneously. However, the carrier did not disclose specific upload speeds.

According to T-Mobile’s network president Ulf Ewaldsson, “These speeds represent a critical stepping stone for the future of wireless technology.” Ewaldsson noted that continuous innovation through carrier aggregation is a key component of their strategy to enhance network performance and capacity.

Industry analyses by third-party organizations have consistently ranked T-Mobile as faster than its main competitors, AT&T and Verizon. A January survey from Ookla reported average download speeds of 212.77 Mbps at T-Mobile, 95.08 Mbps at AT&T, and 86.23 Mbps at Verizon.

The recent speed tests utilized Nokia 5G radio access network (RAN) equipment, which T-Mobile has been deploying since 2020, alongside various mid-band frequencies to improve throughput. The result is a sophisticated network capable of delivering exceptionally high data speeds.

The record-breaking speeds also highlight T-Mobile’s leading position within the 5G market, especially as it remains the only U.S. carrier with a nationwide commercialized 5G SA network, surpassing its rivals in terms of both speed and coverage. Although not all customers will experience these peak speeds, T-Mobile continues to focus on customer satisfaction and is leading in industry rankings.

Despite some discontented customers with complaints over service, T-Mobile has maintained a substantial advantage over its competitors as indicated by a recent PCMag editorial review, which found T-Mobile leading in overall customer satisfaction ratings by over a full point compared to AT&T and Verizon.

The remarkable test results cast a spotlight on T-Mobile’s aspirations for the future of the wireless industry, indicating that advanced carrier aggregation technology will play a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution of mobile connectivity.
