Born as Narendranath Datta, Swami Vivekananda rose to prominence as the chief disciple of the mystic Ramakrishna. His impactful presence was felt not only in India but also on the global stage, particularly after his iconic speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893.
