Monaco Royal Charlotte Casiraghi Spotted with Rumoured Beau Nicolas Mathieu Amid Separation Rumors
Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi, amidst swirling separation rumors from her husband Dimitri Rassam, has been spotted with French writer Nicolas Mathieu in Paris, as captured by Paris Match.
Nicolas Mathieu, a renowned author who clinched the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 2018, was seen in the company of Charlotte, donning a smart-casual navy coat ensemble at a cafe terrace in the city.
Reports of Charlotte and Dimitri’s alleged split have been circulating in the European press, with the last public appearance of the couple dating back to the 60th AMADE Anniversary Dinner at Monte Carlo Opera Garnier last October.
Charlotte and Dimitri tied the knot with both civil and religious ceremonies, with the civil union taking place in the Prince’s Palace of Monaco’s Throne Room followed by a celebration in Provence, France.
For the civil ceremony, Charlotte wore a stunning creation by Saint Laurent while adorning her late grandmother Grace Kelly‘s Carter diamond necklace, a precious wedding gift from Prince Rainier back in 1956.
Charlotte, the daughter of Princess Caroline and the late Stefano Casiraghi who tragically passed away in 1990, boasts a diverse background with a modeling career, equestrian pursuits, and literary endeavors.
She is a mother to sons Balthazar with Dimitri and Raphaël from her previous relationship with Gad Elmaleh, and is intricately linked to Monaco’s royal family alongside her brothers Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi and half-sister Princess Alexandra of Hanover.
Aside from her modeling stints for high-end fashion brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci, and her role as a Chanel ambassador from 2020, Charlotte has established herself as a writer and magazine editor post her graduation from Paris-Sorbonne University.
