Moncler’s Spectacular Fashion Show Captivates Celebrities in Courchevel’s Snowy Runway

COURCHEVEL, France — Moncler Grenoble’s fashion show on Saturday night transformed Courchevel Altiport into a spectacular runway amid a snowstorm, captivating an audience of approximately 200 guests, including high-profile celebrities such as Adrien Brody and Anne Hathaway.
The event, which featured a stunning array of ski apparel, showcased the brand’s commitment to blending high-performance gear with luxury fashion. According to Brody, who attended the show, it was an experience unlike any other. “It felt emotional, and being in the snow, I feel really privileged to have experienced it,” he said. “The clothes were beautiful: there were a lot of pieces that I would want to wear.”
The runway, set against the backdrop of Europe’s highest airport, was initially delayed for an hour due to the blizzard that swept through the area. An orchestra performed from a sunken pit while guests donned identical white ponchos, creating an ethereal visual reminiscent of Arctic troubadours as heavy snowfall enhanced the atmosphere.
Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s chairman and CEO, emphasized the brand’s mission to establish a presence in the luxury high-performance apparel market. “This wasn’t just a show; we wanted to create an experience,” he stated. Ruffini aims for Moncler to resonate more with consumers, stating, “Ideally, I would love for Moncler to become a company that creates experiences, not just events.”
This fashion show epitomized the brand’s return to its alpinist roots while offering a glimpse into luxurious mountain lifestyle experiences available at Courchevel. The collection, named Grenoble in homage to the location of the 1968 Winter Olympics, featured high-performance pieces designed for skiing and outdoor activities—an important aspect of Moncler’s identity.
Elements of the collection included pink-shot bouclé dresses, shaggy shearling coats, and weather-resistant ski suits paired with Moon Boot footwear. Moncler’s ability to innovate within the realm of activewear while maintaining an aesthetic appeal illustrates its dedication to performance and fashion. “I think Grenoble has now reached a level of credibility in the market that’s almost unmatched,” Ruffini claimed.
The event was part of a two-day brand experience that included après-ski activities, music, and entertainment, providing guests insight into Courchevel’s opulent lifestyle. Ruffini emphasized the connection with consumers during the event, stating, “I always push to have more of them involved because they are our true ambassadors.”
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the show concluded with an emotional performance of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” beautifully aligning with the both the inspiration and ambiance created by the snowy spectacle.
