Motorola, owned by Lenovo, has expanded its Edge 50 series by launching the Motorola Edge 50 Neo in India on September 16, 2024. The new smartphone inherits the robust build of its predecessors and introduces features such as US Military Grade certification and an IP68 rating, reinforcing its durability against dust and water.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo features a 6.4-inch flat pOLED LTPO display capable of dynamically adjusting its refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The display boasts a resolution of 1.5K, supports HDR10+, and achieves a peak brightness of 3000 nits. This display setup is complemented by stereo speakers that incorporate Dolby Atmos technology for enhanced audio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and includes 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. It operates on Android 14 and offers a commitment of 5 OS upgrades paired with 5 years of security updates. The battery capacity of 4,310 mAh is supported by a 68 W charger included in the packaging, and it also supports wireless charging at 15 W.

Photography enthusiasts may appreciate its versatile camera array, consisting of a 50 MP primary Sony LYTIA 700 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13 MP ultrawide and macro lens, alongside a 10 MP telephoto camera offering 3x zoom. The smartphone also features a 32 MP front-facing camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution.

Available in an 8GB variant priced at ₹23,999, the Edge 50 Neo is offered in distinctive Pantone-validated colors including Nautical Blue, Poinciana, Latte, and Grisaille, finished with a vegan leather texture. The device will be available through an exclusive one-hour sale on Flipkart starting at 7 PM on the launch day, with an open sale commencing on September 24 across Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and select retail stores.

Introductory promotions feature a ₹1,000 discount for payments made with select bank cards, a ₹1,000 exchange bonus for trade-ins, and EMI options at no additional cost for up to nine months.
