Mumford & Sons Launches Exclusive SiriusXM Radio Ahead of New Album Release

NEW YORK, NY — Grammy Award-winning British folk rock band Mumford & Sons is set to launch an exclusive pop-up channel, Mumford & Sons Radio, on March 27. The channel debuts just one day before the highly anticipated release of their fifth studio album, “Rushmere,” on March 28.

During the pop-up, fans across North America will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session with the band at 11 a.m. ET on March 27, where they can ask questions and interact with the members directly. Following the fan interaction, Mumford & Sons will perform live from the SiriusXM studios.

The Mumford & Sons Radio channel will be available on SiriusXM channel 79 through April 8 and on the SiriusXM app until April 24. Curated and presented by the band, the channel will not only showcase their extensive discography, which includes hits from previous albums, but will also feature music from artists who have influenced them.

According to frontman Marcus Mumford, the channel aims to deepen the connection with fans. “We’re full of songs at the moment — we spent two years in the studio writing, and this first batch is ‘Rushmere,’ and it encapsulates the spirit of our band,” Mumford said. The channel will also offer behind-the-scenes insights into the making of “Rushmere,” their first album since 2018’s “Delta.”

Mumford & Sons Radio will reminisce on the band’s long history with SiriusXM, featuring replays of past performances, including their 2015 show at the McKittrick Hotel in New York City and a 2019 concert from Stephen Talkhouse in the Hamptons.

“When the SiriusXM team suggested it, we leapt at it,” Mumford added, promising a mix of hand-picked songs from their catalog alongside collaborations with renowned artists like The National’s Aaron Dessner.

The pop-up channel represents the band’s innovative approach to engaging with their fanbase while promoting their new music. The addition of archival performances showcases the ongoing relationship between Mumford & Sons and their supporters.
