Nate Bargatze Emmy Awards 2025

Los Angeles, CA – Comedian Nate Bargatze has been named the host of the 77th Emmy Awards, set to air live from the Peacock Theater on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. PT. This year’s ceremony promises to blend family-friendly entertainment with a fresh comedic perspective.

Bargatze, widely recognized for his clean humor and deadpan delivery, has gained substantial acclaim in the comedy world. In 2024, he became the highest-grossing comedian, selling over 1.2 million tickets for his shows according to Pollstar.

<p“Nate is one of the hottest comics in the business with a remarkable and hilarious brand of comedy that deeply resonates with multi-generational audiences around the globe,” said Cris Abrego, chair of the Television Academy. “We are thrilled to be able to leverage his one-of-a-kind perspective to entertain TV fans watching this year’s Emmy telecast.”

In a statement about hosting the Emmys, Bargatze said, “It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world.”

Bargatze’s style of comedy emphasizes inclusivity and a light-hearted approach. In December, he expressed his intent by stating, “I don’t want your family fighting. There’s plenty of times you’re going to be fighting, so I can be your one hour you don’t fight.”

The 77th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and also available for streaming on Paramount+. This year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place the weekend before on Sept. 6 and 7.

Previously, Bargatze has appeared on “Saturday Night Live” twice and hosted his own holiday special, “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas,” for CBS. His unique comedic perspective has made him a favorite among audiences looking for family-friendly entertainment.

The nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards will be announced on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. PST, signaling the start of the awards season leading up to the prestigious ceremony.
