Navy Federal Credit Union Faces Widespread Banking Disruptions
VIENNA, Va.— Navy Federal Credit Union is experiencing significant mobile and online banking disruptions, affecting many members’ access to their accounts during scheduled system maintenance.
Reports of service issues emerged early Saturday, with outage-tracking site Downdetector noting that 357 users reported problems around 1:44 a.m. ET. Approximately 72% of these complaints were related to mobile logins, while 18% experienced mobile banking issues and 10% faced general login failures.
Navy Federal, which has $192 million in assets, confirmed that these interruptions are due to scheduled maintenance. “We’re currently performing scheduled maintenance on our systems. Our tech teams are working hard to complete the updates as soon as possible,” the credit union stated in response to member inquiries.
The institution has not provided a specific completion time but expressed gratitude to members for their patience “while we finish updating our systems.”
