NBC’s ‘SNL’ to Re-Air Fan Favorites on March 22, 2025

NEW YORK, March 22, 2025 — NBC‘s iconic variety show, Saturday Night Live, will not air a new episode tonight. Instead, the network will re-broadcast fan-favorite episodes from the previous season, featuring beloved hosts and musical guests.
Fans can tune in at 10 p.m. ET to catch the episode hosted by Emma Stone, which originally aired on December 2, 2023. This episode gained attention not just for Stone’s comedic timing and charm, but also for its musical guest, Noah Kahan, who captivated audiences with his performances.
The highlight of the night will follow at 11:30 p.m. ET when NBC airs the Christmas episode from December 21, 2024, hosted by Martin Short. This particular episode stands out as it includes an array of SNL veterans, collectively known as the ‘Five-Timers Club,’ who made memorable appearances during the skits.
Martin Short opened the episode with an engaging cold open, donning a Five-Timers Club jacket and welcoming fellow members Tina Fey, Scarlett Johansson, and John Mulaney. The episode was filled with hilarious sketches, including “Christmas Airport Parade” and a holiday rendition of classic tunes performed by the night’s musical guest, Hozier.
Hozier’s performance of “Too Sweet” from his album Unreal Unearth: Unending and a beautiful cover of “Fairytale of New York,” originally by The Pogues, left a lasting impression on viewers. This episode marked Hozier’s second appearance on SNL, adding to the excitement surrounding the special holiday edition.
While tonight’s re-airing is a treat for fans, the show will resume with new episodes starting March 29, when Academy Award-winning actress Mikey Madison will host for her SNL debut. She will be joined by country music star Morgan Wallen, who will perform as the musical guest.
Following Madison, SNL will feature additional hosts including Jack Black on April 5, with musical guests Elton John and Brandi Carlile, and Jon Hamm on April 12, performing with Lizzo.
SNL airs on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock. For those who wish to revisit SNL’s rich history, all episodes from its 50-season archive can be accessed on the streaming platform.
