Ozark Law A&e Series Lake Ozark Police

The new A&E series “Ozark Law,” featuring the Lake Ozark and Osage Beach police departments, premiered Wednesday night at 9 p.m. The 10-episode unscripted documentary series, produced by Lucky 8, showcases the challenges faced by law enforcement in the Lake of the Ozarks region during the bustling summer tourist season.

According to a news release from the city of Osage Beach, the series highlights how the small-town departments manage the influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors. “When the population rapidly multiplies literally overnight, it presents unique challenges for our officers,” said Osage Beach Police Chief Todd Davis. “The series shows how dedicated we are to serving the Osage Beach community.”

Lake Ozark Police Chief James Boren praised the production team for their professionalism. “We really enjoyed working with the Lucky 8 crew on the ‘Ozark Law’ project. Their professionalism throughout the highs and lows of our challenging summer was exceptional,” Boren said. “I believe Lucky 8, along with A&E, have captured the genuine challenges law enforcement faces in our Lake of the Ozarks communities during seasonal transitions.”

The series is available On Demand and for streaming on the A&E App. It aims to provide a national spotlight on the Lake of the Ozarks, a popular summer destination that sees its population surge from a few thousand residents to hundreds of thousands of visitors.
