Bar Harbor Boutique Hotel Luxury Accommodations

BAR HARBOR, Maine — The Pathmaker Hotel opened its doors in November 2022, and with spring approaching, the boutique hotel is gearing up to welcome summer guests. Nestled just a block from the waterfront and steps away from the vibrant shops and restaurants on Cottage Street, the hotel showcases a blend of modern elegance and coastal charm, influenced by the stunning cliffs, beaches, and evergreen forests of Mount Desert Island.

The hotel features 46 rooms and suites, each outfitted with American-made custom furnishings, comfortable pillow-topped beds, smart TVs, microwaves, and mini-fridges, ideal for storing picnic supplies for excursions to nearby Acadia National Park. “We wanted to create a sanctuary that connects guests with the natural beauty of the area while providing all the luxuries of modern travel,” said General Manager John Doe.

An onsite restaurant is slated to launch in May, providing meals for both hotel guests and the public, including an expansive breakfast selection and diverse dinner offerings. Guests can enjoy the convenience of an underground parking garage, eliminating concerns over vehicle security while exploring the local area. Seasonal rates range from $119 in the winter to $385 in the summer, which includes breakfast on-site.

The Pathmaker Hotel is the latest addition to the locally owned Stay Bar Harbor brand, now comprising 13 locations with approximately 400 rooms in total. Guests are encouraged to subscribe to the hotel’s newsletter for exclusive offers and customized packages.

Bermuda is also drawing travelers seeking luxury and tranquility with a new property, Azura. Situated ten minutes from Hamilton on Bermuda’s South Shore, Azura offers breathtaking Atlantic views along with modern amenities and decor inspired by the colors of the sea.

The resort features several distinct pools, including a beachfront saltwater ocean pool and a sky pool with panoramic ocean views. Guests can dine at the oceanfront restaurant SURF, which serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes, especially seafood, in a picturesque setting. Rates for ocean view rooms start at $629 per night, with plans to introduce 20 new oceanfront suites by 2026.
