New Horror Maze to Feature Jason Voorhees at Universal Studios

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Studios has announced the upcoming horror maze “Jason Universe,” inspired by the iconic slasher Jason Voorhees, set to debut this fall. This maze commemorates the 45th anniversary of the original 1980 film, which kicked off a franchise with over ten films.
Visitors will journey back to Camp Crystal Lake, where they will hear the chilling legend of Jason as they navigate through his dilapidated cabin and the eerie forest surrounding the main lodge. The maze promises a “vengeance tour” filled with memorable moments from Jason’s bloody film career.
The announcement coincides with this year’s only Friday the 13th, marking the second major house reveal for Universal’s 2025 Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) event. The first maze, titled “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface,” will feature an original storyline, paying tribute to the many adaptations of the Chainsaw franchise.
This year’s HHN will kick off at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, Aug. 29, and expand to other locations, including Las Vegas, starting on Sept. 4. Fans can also enjoy immersive experiences in the Las Vegas horror attraction, featuring houses based on The Exorcist: Believer, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Universal Monsters.
Guests at Universal Epic Universe can also look forward to an innovative classic monsters-themed land called Dark Universe, where beloved characters like Frankenstein and Dracula will come to life.
With the combination of nostalgia and chilling experiences, the HHN event is set to thrill horror fans this fall.
