Lifetime Movie Premiere

Lifetime is set to premiere a gripping new thriller on Saturday, October 19, at 8 p.m. as part of its ‘Ripped from the Headlines’ series. Inspired by real-life events, the film depicts a disturbing story involving a man who develops an illicit relationship with his biological daughter. The film stars Jackie Cruz, Matthew MacCaull, and Matreya Scarrwener.

The plot centers around the characters Alyssa and Steven, who experience an intense relationship that begins when Alyssa is a teenager. After having a daughter, Steven becomes physically abusive, prompting Alyssa to put their child up for adoption. Eighteen years later, their daughter, renamed Katie, reconnects with them, which leads to harrowing developments.

According to Lifetime’s official synopsis, upon reuniting, Steven persuades Katie to move in with him and Alyssa, along with their two younger children. The relationship takes a dramatic turn as Steven neglects his family and begins an affair with Katie, leading to a pregnancy. Alyssa, discovering the affair, attempts to warn Katie of Steven’s violent past, but to no avail.

For viewers who have moved away from traditional cable setups, the movie will be available for streaming on services like Philo. Philo offers a package that includes more than 70 live TV channels, such as the Hallmark Channel, MTV, and AMC, for $28 per month after a free trial period. Subscribers can also access on-demand content and utilize unlimited DVR features.

Those with a cable provider can watch the film using the Lifetime app, which also grants access to additional content from the network. For more information on channel availability, viewers can consult various network finders online.
