New Season of ‘Love Is Blind’ Premieres in Minneapolis on Valentine’s Day
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Netflix‘s popular reality series ‘Love Is Blind‘ is set to debut its eighth season on Feb. 14, 2025, featuring contestants from the Twin Cities and showcasing local hotspots. The series invites singles to find love without ever seeing each other until a marriage proposal is made.
In the show, contestants communicate through pods, eliminating visual judgments and focusing solely on conversation. After engagements are formed, couples travel to a tropical destination before returning home to face the reality of their connection. Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey have guided the show since its 2020 inception, which has expanded into several international adaptations.
The new season follows 32 contestants between the ages of 23 and 43. The initial interactions take place in Santa Clarita, California, where they engage in conversations filled with snacks and emotional revelations. Couples will later connect in person during a trip to Honduras, before returning to Minneapolis to interact with family, plan weddings, and navigate their relationships.
Filming occurred in March 2024, amid some snowfall, with contestants staying at 365 Nicollet, a luxury apartment building featuring modern amenities. Notable local venues featured include Grind Mpls and BlackStack Brewing.
While many contestants may be introduced, only a few will gain prominence. Viewers should keep an eye out for standout participants such as Devin Buckley, David Battenburg, and Taylor Haag, who each have unique personal backgrounds and stories that develop throughout the season.
Netflix subscribers can watch the first six episodes this Friday, followed by three additional episodes on Feb. 21. The series finale will air on March 7, alongside a reunion special set for spring.
