New Series ‘Duster’ Premieres with Star-Studded Cast and Nostalgic Charm

PHOENIX, Ariz. — The new series ‘Duster‘ premiered on May 15, 2025, featuring a dynamic duo of an FBI agent and a getaway driver as they navigate crime and corruption in the 1970s. Co-created by J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan, the show blends nostalgia with gripping storylines. FBI Agent Nina Hayes, portrayed by Rachel Hilson, is on a mission to bring down a powerful crime boss, while her partner, Jim Ellis, played by Josh Holloway, has his own reasons to assist her.
Set against the backdrop of Arizona in 1972, ‘Duster’ highlights societal challenges, especially for a young Black woman in law enforcement. Despite her skills, Hayes faces discrimination within the FBI. Her determination to solve a personal case involving her father drives the narrative, showcasing her resilience amid adversity. Holloway, known for his role in ‘Lost,’ delivers a charismatic performance as the charming yet underestimated getaway driver.
The series also features Keith David as Ezra Saxton, the crime boss, whose complex relationship with Jim adds depth to the plot. As Jim seeks to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death involving Saxton, the characters find themselves entangled in a web of crime and intrigue.
