Los Angeles, CA – Electronic Arts and developers Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment have announced a new single-player turn-based tactics game titled Star Wars Zero Company. The game is set during the Clone Wars and will be fully unveiled during a panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19, 2025.

The Bit Reactor Developer Panel featuring Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games is scheduled from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM JST. This will be the first public reveal of the title, following its initial announcement earlier this year.

“With Star Wars Zero Company, we aim to bring a fresh experience to the Star Wars universe,” said Greg Foertsch, head of Bit Reactor and a veteran of Firaxis Games’ XCOM series. “We believe that the tactics-based gameplay mixed with the beloved Star Wars lore will create a unique gaming experience.”

The timing of this revelation comes after EA’s recent project cancellations in the Star Wars franchise, making this one of their few remaining titles under the iconic banner. Fans are eagerly anticipating whether the gameplay will resemble a Star Wars-themed version of XCOM, a popular tactical strategy game.

The Star Wars Celebration event will run from April 18 to April 20, with this panel expected to generate significant buzz among attendees and online viewers alike. Other anticipated reveals at the event include updates on additional Star Wars game projects.

Despite the lack of detailed release information, including specific platforms, the excitement surrounding Star Wars Zero Company signals renewed interest in tactical games within the franchise. Players are still waiting for developments regarding other titles, such as the third installment in Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi series, following the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its sequel Jedi: Survivor.

In the realm of Star Wars gaming, expectations have been high since the acquisition of the franchise by Disney in 2012. The expanded universe has brought a plethora of new stories and titles, with Star Wars Zero Company positioning itself to stand out in this evolving landscape.
