Streaming Services Nfl Season

NEW YORK, NY – The launch of two new streaming services coinciding with the start of the NFL season has led to an impressive surge in subscriber numbers. According to Antenna, a firm that tracks the streaming industry, one new service signed up about a million new subscribers within just 10 days.

This figure does not account for those accessing services through cable subscriptions or those transferring from existing Disney+ subscriptions. While Antenna didn’t specify the breakdown between ESPN and Fox One subscriptions, sources indicate that a significant portion of the new subscribers opted for ESPN.

The timing of the launch appears pivotal, as the NFL season attracts fans eager for live football without the hassle of traditional cable. Fox One features livestreams from Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, as well as local Fox affiliates, alongside channels like Fox News and Fox Business.

ESPN offers its new service at a monthly price of $29.99, while Fox One is available for $19.99 monthly. Disney is emphasizing bundle strategies, with plans to offer a single subscription combining the two services starting at $39.99 on October 2.

As these streaming platforms gain traction, it remains uncertain whether they will continue to attract viewers once the football season concludes.
