New Television Seasons Bring Familiar Faces and Series

Network television has introduced several new shows featuring familiar personalities. One of the highlights includes Kathy Bates in a remake of “Matlock,” which recently made its debut on CBS. Fans can anticipate the second episode airing on Thursday, October 17 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS.

Meanwhile, over on ABC, Joshua Jackson stars as Max Bankman, a newly appointed doctor working aboard a luxury cruise ship in the network’s latest medical drama. Despite these fresh offerings, long-standing favorites continue to capture audiences.

Grey's Anatomy” has returned with new episodes, premiering its latest season on Sunday, October 13 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Another show, “Fire Country,” is set to heat up televisions with its upcoming season, offering returning fans more of the intense drama they have come to love.

For “Fire Country” enthusiasts, there is much excitement ahead. A notable addition this season is a guest appearance by a former “Supernatural” star, further fueling fan anticipation. Adding to the franchise’s expansion, a new spinoff is scheduled to air during the 2025-2026 television season.

For those eager about upcoming episodes, “Fire Country” is set to return with its third season. It premieres on Friday, October 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET on CBS. This comes after a night lineup of “Big Brother” from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET, a rerun of “NCIS” from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, with “Fire Country” concluding the evening from 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET.

Viewers with a cable subscription can catch new episodes live on CBS, while the CBS app additionally offers streaming. Those without cable can access CBS live streams through services such as FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV, which offer free trials for new subscribers.

Furthermore, new episodes of “Fire Country” will be streamed live on Paramount+ and become available the following day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers. However, traditional Hulu subscribers will not have the next-day streaming option, although Hulu + Live TV members can watch live.
