New Trailer for ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 Released
BURBANK, California — A new trailer for season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has been released, showing the young demigods embarking on a treacherous sea journey.
Based on Rick Riordan‘s second book, “The Sea of Monsters,” the trailer features Percy (Walker Scobell), Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), and their rival Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) as they set sail into the Bermuda Triangle. Their mission is to rescue Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and save Camp Half-Blood from a looming threat.
The logline teases a thrilling adventure: “After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and a legendary artifact — the Golden Fleece.”
The trailer showcases not only the main characters dealing with danger but also highlights larger-scale action scenes and key moments, like the chariot race found in the book.
Returning cast members include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Mantzoukas, and Glynn Turman, alongside newcomers Timothy Simons as Tantalus and Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho as the Gray Sisters. Additionally, Courtney B. Vance will portray Zeus, taking over the role after the passing of Lance Reddick.
The creative team behind the show remains dedicated to adapting Riordan’s series. Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg serve as executive producers alongside a talented group of collaborators.
Season two will premiere with two episodes on December 10, with subsequent episodes released weekly. Fans can also look forward to exclusive content through the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast” following each episode.
