The highly anticipated Turkish-English crime thriller series ‘The Turkish Detective’ has made its debut on BBC Two, captivating audiences with its intriguing plot and stellar cast.

Based on Barbara Nadel’s acclaimed Inspector Ikmen novels, the series follows the gripping investigations of Inspector Çetin Ikmen, played by the talented Haluk Bilginer, in the bustling city of Istanbul.

Joining Bilginer is a dynamic cast including Ethan Kai as the young detective Mehmet Süleyman, and Yasemin Kay Allen as the sharp-witted Detective Ayşe Farsakoğlu.

Written by Ben Schiffer, the adaptation brings to life the intricate world of crime solving in Turkey, weaving together mystery and family drama into a compelling narrative.
