Auckland, New Zealand – The 2025 New Zealand Radio and Podcast Awards took place last night at Sky City Theatre, honoring the creative talents that keep the industry thriving. MediaWorks staff received numerous nominations, with several major wins celebrating their hard work.

This year, nearly 600 entries were submitted, showcasing the dedication across various categories like on-air hosting, podcasting, production, promotions, journalism, and sales. RBA and Awards Chair Jana Rangooni commended the quality of the entries, pointing out the strength of the industry. She noted that over 3.7 million New Zealanders aged 10 and older tune into radio weekly, with rising podcast listening rates.

The MediaWorks team had a remarkable evening at the awards, with many familiar names being recognized. Brad King and Jack Honeybone won for Best Content Director/Team, while Ryan Maguire and Mitch Farr took home the award for Best Music Show Producers. The crew comprising Jay Reeve, Duncan Heyde, Tiegan Lilley, and Lee Weir received the title of Best Music Network Team.

In addition, More FM Northland celebrated a double victory, earning both Best Local Music Breakfast Show and Local Station of the Year. Rova’s podcast was honored with the award for Best Business & Finance Podcast, while the rova team also clinched Best Marketing Campaign for their latest Brand Transformation.

Humm FM achieved recognition as well, winning Best Asian Podcast and Best Asian Language Programme. The event was a significant celebration of top-tier talent from across the MediaWorks network. A full list of winners will be made available to the public soon.
