NFL Coach Mike Zimmer Engaged to Model Katarina Miketin

Longtime NFL coach Mike Zimmer, 68, and model Katarina Miketin, 42, have announced their engagement, marking a new chapter in their relationship that began in 2021. Miketin shared the news on Instagram on Jan. 3, 2025, with a heartfelt post set to George Strait‘s “I Cross My Heart.” The post featured images of the couple enjoying dinner, horseback riding, and showcasing her oval-cut diamond engagement ring.

Zimmer, currently the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, has had a storied career in the NFL, including a seven-year stint as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. He was previously married to Vikki Zimmer, who passed away unexpectedly in 2009 at the age of 50. The couple had three children: Adam, who died in 2022 at 38 due to chronic alcohol abuse, and daughters Marki and Corri.

Miketin, a Serbian-American model and entrepreneur, was born in Duluth, Minnesota, to immigrant parents. She holds a degree in psychology and an MBA from Northwestern University. Miketin owns OneTen Cycles, a bike shop in Duluth, and has graced the covers of Maxim Australia and other publications. She is also a mother to a daughter, whose name and age she keeps private.

In her engagement announcement, Miketin reflected on their journey, writing, “Five years ago they told us we needed to meet…God knew what He was doing. I thank Him for you, my best friend…so, of course, I said Yes!” The couple has not yet revealed wedding plans.

Zimmer, who has been open about his personal losses, including the deaths of his wife and son, expressed gratitude for Miketin’s support. During a December 2024 press conference, he emotionally recalled his son Adam’s love for football, saying, “He was smart, loved football. He would’ve given his left arm to do this. I know he’s upstairs looking down on me cheering every Sunday.”

Miketin, who has over 400,000 Instagram followers, frequently shares glimpses of her life, including her border collie, Chloe, and her passion for cycling. The couple’s engagement has been met with widespread congratulations from fans and colleagues alike.
