Nicolas Cage Unveiled as Spider-Man Noir in Upcoming Series

NEW YORK, May 12, 2025 — Nicolas Cage appears as Spider-Man Noir in a first look at the upcoming live-action series titled ‘Spider-Noir’, released by Prime Video during their upfronts presentation. The series is set to premiere in 2026.
Cage, who previously voiced the character in the animated film ‘Into the Spider-Verse’, dons Spider-Man Noir’s recognizable costume, complete with a fedora, white goggles, and a webbed mask. This adaptation will draw on the ‘Spider-Man Noir’ comic books, taking a different angle from its animated predecessor.
‘Spider-Noir’ follows an aging private investigator in 1930s New York, played by Cage, who comes to terms with his past as the city’s only superhero. The series will be offered in both black-and-white and color.
The cast alongside Cage includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. It also features a guest star lineup with Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, among others.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, with Harry Bradbeer directing the first two episodes. Co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot developed the show in collaboration with ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ filmmakers.
Though a premiere date is yet to be announced, ‘Spider-Noir’ will debut domestically on MGM+ before becoming available globally on Prime Video the following day.
