Nigerian singer Brymo has once again sparked controversy with his candid remarks as he expressed a strong aversion to signing under popular artists Davido, Wizkid, or Burna Boy during a QnA session with social media personality Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi. The talented vocalist known as Brymo, born Olawale Oloforo, has not shied away from expressing his opinions, which often stir debate within the music industry.

Having made hits like Oleku, Ara, and Good Morning, Brymo has established himself as one of Nigeria’s top vocalists and is recognized for his distinctive style. While reminiscing on a past offer in 2012 where he was reportedly offered millions to revive his career, the singer disclosed that he flatly declined the lucrative deal.

During his time with Chocolate City alongside artists like MI Abaga, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince, Brymo’s decision to part ways with the label was driven by a quest for deeper artistic fulfillment. Dissatisfied with the commercial outcomes of his hit tracks, Brymo ventured out on his own to create music that resonated more deeply with his artistic vision.

Refusing to be sidelined, Brymo also addressed Burna Boy’s lyrical mention of him in a track, noting that he would not reciprocate the gesture. Despite the widespread fame and success of Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, Brymo’s unapologetic stance on forging his path continues to set him apart in the music industry.
