Nightwing's Anti Aquaman Contingency Saves The Day In Latest Titans Issue

A recent issue of Titans, the popular comic series, unveils Nightwing’s ingenious strategy for combating rogue Atlanteans. In the gripping story, chaos engulfs the heroes as they confront the threat of Garth, a brainwashed hero under the control of Xand’r, a renegade Tamaranean.

As Titans Tower comes under attack, Nightwing and his team find themselves juggling the turmoil of the ‘Beast World’ with the immediate danger posed by their manipulated comrade, Garth, who has been transformed into a fox-human hybrid.

To safeguard their allies, Flash and Batgirl work together to ensure their safety, while Raven deftly isolates Garth in a corridor. In the meantime, Wally West takes charge of a control panel, initiating Nightwing’s brilliant plan — activating an anti-Aquaman failsafe within the Tower.

To sever Garth’s connection with the Necrostar, the nefarious spore controlling him, Wally subjects the Atlantean hero to a flash dehydrating process. This approach frees Garth from the spore’s influence and allows the Titans to save him.

Previously, when Nightwing set out to reestablish the Titans, his former ally, Tempest, rejected his offer, believing there were better ways to assist the world. Unfortunately, Garth became entangled with Xand’r, masquerading as the reformed Brotherhood of Blood. Xand’r, bent on Earth‘s conquest, infected Garth with a Necrostar spore, driving him to defeat the Titans under his command.

However, Nightwing’s forward-thinking paid off as he prepared contingencies for his teammates in case of emergencies. Even though Tempest was not officially part of the team, Nightwing astutely included an Atlantean failsafe within the Tower. This decision proved monumental in defeating Garth and cleansing him of the spore infection, showcasing Nightwing’s exceptional preparedness.

An anti-Aquaman contingency might initially seem unwarranted, but considering Garth’s possession and the current infection of the Atlantean King, Arthur Curry, by the Garro spore, Nightwing’s precautionary measures are commendable. Atlanteans possess immense strength and power, often underestimated by others. When malevolence takes hold of them, the consequences can be disastrous. Dick Grayson’s quick thinking and comprehensive preparation ensure that the Titans are more than equipped to neutralize any rogue Atlantean threat thrown their way.
