Lego Game Boy Replica Set 2025

Nintendo has announced a collaboration with Lego to create a replica of the original Game Boy, rendered entirely in Lego bricks. The teaser, shared by Nintendo of America on X/Twitter, revealed a handful of bricks forming the iconic handheld console, including its purple buttons and directional pad. The set is scheduled for release in October 2025, though details such as price, brick count, and final design remain under wraps.

This marks the latest partnership between Nintendo and Lego, following successful collaborations on sets based on franchises like Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart. The companies have also released more intricate models, such as the Lego NES set, which debuted in 2024 as a replica of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System. The upcoming Lego Game Boy is expected to appeal to both nostalgic gamers and Lego enthusiasts.

Nintendo has been on a roll with non-Switch 2 announcements recently, including the release of themed merchandise and limited-edition products. The Lego Game Boy announcement continues this trend, offering fans a unique way to engage with gaming history. The teaser trailer, though brief, has already sparked excitement among fans, who are eager to see the final product.

Ryan Dinsdale, a freelance reporter for IGN, noted the growing relationship between Nintendo and Lego, highlighting their ability to cater to both younger audiences and adult collectors. The Lego Game Boy is expected to follow in the footsteps of previous successful sets, blending nostalgia with the creative possibilities of Lego building.
