Nintendo Music Streaming Platform Soundtracks

REDMOND, Wash. — Nintendo Music, the newly launched streaming platform for fans of iconic gaming soundtracks, is gaining momentum since its debut on October 31, 2024. As anticipation builds for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, the service has curated an impressive collection of soundtracks from beloved franchises.

Initially offering 22 soundtracks from popular games, Nintendo Music aims to provide a nostalgic experience for users, featuring tracks from titles like Super Mario Bros., Wii Sports, and Splatoon 2. The selection has recently expanded with newly added classics, catering to both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

The platform has demonstrated a successful balance of nostalgia and modernity, inviting users to enjoy a range of musical genres. For November, the service introduced soundtracks from Brain Age and Wii Sports, enhancing its growing library. December saw the addition of tracks from Super Mario 64 and Wave Race 64, further solidifying its appeal.

Marking the start of 2025, Nintendo Music launched with soundtracks from Donkey Kong Country 3 and The Wind Waker. Users have appreciated the platform’s fresh additions, as the inclusion of nostalgic favorites attracts a wider audience. “The number of soundtracks keeps growing, and that only makes it more exciting for fans,” said Robert Marrujo, a Nintendo journalist.

As of now, listeners can access soundtracks only by subscribing to a Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is required for full access to the music catalog. Updates have consistently aimed to maintain a lively and engaging experience for subscribers.

This month, Nintendo Music rolled out a double feature of soundtracks, showcasing two entries from the famed Super Mario series, and a soundtrack from StreetPass Mii Plaza. Furthermore, Golden Sun was also added, reflecting Nintendo’s commitment to blending classic and contemporary titles. March updates will likely follow the trend of previous months, with an anticipated expansion of soundtracks.

As the platform evolves, it continues to draw attention to the nostalgic elements many fans cherish while embracing the innovation that will accompany the upcoming Switch 2 launch. Whether reliving classic tunes or discovering new favorites, Nintendo Music is positioning itself as a critical element of the gaming community’s soundtrack.
