Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders Start April 24, Pricing Announced

REDMOND, Wash. — Nintendo has officially announced that retail pre-orders for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 24, 2025. The standalone console will be priced at $449.99 in the United States, while the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle will retail for $499.99.
In addition, both the physical and digital versions of Mario Kart World will launch at a price of $79.99, while Donkey Kong Bananza will be available for $69.99. Both game prices remain constant as previously stated on April 2. However, pricing adjustments are expected for Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, a result of changing market conditions.
‘We apologize for the retail pre-order delay, and we hope this announcement eases some of the uncertainty our consumers may be experiencing,’ said a Nintendo spokesperson. ‘We thank our customers for their patience and share in their excitement to experience Nintendo Switch 2 starting June 5, 2025.’
In Canada, pre-orders will also begin on April 24, 2025. Pricing for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be set at $629.99 for the standalone model and $699.99 for the bundle with Mario Kart World.
