The Northeast Conference (NEC) has seen a flurry of activity in various sports over the past few days. In college football, several key games took place on October 12, 2024. One notable matchup was between Columbia and Wagner, with Wagner hosting the game at their Alumni Stadium. Another significant game was between Duquesne and Saint Francis University, held at DeGol Field in Loretto, PA. Saint Francis University’s running back, D. McElroy, had a standout performance with 29 carries for 150 yards.

In other NEC football action, Mercyhurst faced off against Robert Morris at Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township, PA. Mercyhurst’s quarterback, A. Urena, threw for 492 yards and 5 touchdowns, while Robert Morris’s running back, T. Edmonds Jr., had 33 carries for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Looking ahead, the NEC schedule is packed with upcoming games across different sports. On October 31, 2024, there will be several women’s soccer matches, including Le Moyne at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Stonehill at Central Connecticut State University. In men’s soccer, LIU will face Mercyhurst on the same day.

The basketball season is also approaching, with the first men’s basketball game scheduled for December 1, 2024, when UMass Lowell visits Central Connecticut State University. Women’s basketball will see Army facing Mercyhurst on December 3, 2024.
