Oasis Guitarist Paul Arthurs Health Update

LOS ANGELES, CA — Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs announced he is stepping away from the band’s reunion tour to undergo treatment for prostate cancer. In an Instagram post on October 3, 2025, the 60-year-old rocker revealed that he was diagnosed earlier this year and is now entering the next phase of his care.

“The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour,” Arthurs wrote. However, he added that he would miss shows scheduled in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney this month. “I’m really sad to be missing these shows,” he said, promising fans he would return in time for the South American leg of the tour.

Oasis shared his message on their Instagram account, wishing him well with his treatment and expressing excitement for his return. Fans took to social media to show their support, with many sending heartfelt messages.

This is not Arthurs’ first health challenge. In 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer while on tour with Liam Gallagher. After undergoing treatment, he announced in September 2022 that he was cancer-free.

Arthurs’ recent announcement has resonated deeply within the Oasis community and among fans worldwide, who are rallying behind him during this difficult time.
