Overwatch 2 Season 13 Patch Notes

Season 13 of Overwatch 2, titled Spellbinder, is set to launch on October 15, bringing a plethora of new content and significant updates to the game. This season is heavily themed around dark magic and Halloween, aligning with the annual Halloween Terror event.

The new season introduces a brand-new battle pass filled with cosmetic rewards, including the debut of the Mythic Shop’s Gilded Aspects mechanic. This mechanic allows players to unlock new looks for past and present Mythic skins. The damage hero Widowmaker will receive a new Mythic skin called Spellbinder Widowmaker, which includes custom animations and soundscapes.

In addition to the cosmetic updates, the Halloween Terror event will bring back fan-favorite PvE and PvP modes such as Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride. A new mode, Junkenstein’s Laboratory, will also be introduced, offering high-octane PvP team deathmatch gameplay with mutations that alter heroes’ abilities on the fly.

Leaderboard and reporting features have also been updated. Players can now report other players directly from the leaderboards without needing to provide a written explanation. Additionally, there is an option to mute voice or text communications from specific players via the leaderboards.

A crossover event with the popular anime series *My Hero Academia* is scheduled for October 17, featuring skins inspired by the franchise, including a Deku skin for Tracer, an All Might skin for Reinhardt, and more.
