Ozzy Osbourne Plans Farewell Concerts In Hometown

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly planning to bid farewell to his fans with a series of farewell concerts in his hometown of Birmingham. According to his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, the musician wants to “say goodbye properly” and is working on organizing two final shows.

No specific dates for the concerts have been announced yet, but Sharon Osbourne hinted that they could take place at the Aston Villa stadium, a local venue in Birmingham. These shows would be Osbourne’s way of expressing his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career.

Ozzy Osbourne, best known as the frontman of the iconic band Black Sabbath, has faced health challenges in recent years. He announced his Parkinson's disease diagnosis in 2020 and retired from touring last year. Despite his health issues and age (he is now 75), Osbourne’s voice remains “absolutely perfect,” according to Sharon Osbourne, who noted that he continues to take singing lessons to maintain his vocal abilities.

The singer-songwriter has been eager to perform live again, as he feels that he has never properly bid farewell to his fans. Osbourne’s final concerts will give him the opportunity to connect with his fans one last time.

Ozzy Osbourne released his latest solo album, titled “Patient Number 9,” in 2022. The album debuted in the top 10 on both US and UK charts and received critical acclaim, earning Osbourne a Grammy for Best Rock Album.
