Pacers’ Pascal Siakam Celebrates Halloween with ‘Training Day’ Recreation

Indianapolis, IN – Pascal Siakam, star of the Indiana Pacers, brought some Halloween spirit to his team by recreating an iconic scene from the 2001 film “Training Day.” The event took place on October 31, 2025, shortly before the Pacers’ regular season opener.

Siakam dressed as Denzel Washington‘s character, while teammate Johnny Furphy took on the role of Ethan Hawke. The two actors mimicked the tense diner scene where the characters discuss serious matters. Fans enjoyed the humorous twist as the duo captured the essence of the scene.

The Pacers have had a tough start this season, entering their fifth game winless after reaching the NBA Finals last year. They lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder and have struggled with injuries, particularly missing star player Tyrese Haliburton.

Despite the team’s issues, Siakam is performing impressively, leading in scoring with 26.3 points per game, alongside 11 rebounds and 5.3 assists, while shooting 44 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from three-point range. Furphy, however, has seen limited playtime this season, appearing in only one game so far.

The Pacers aim to break their losing streak against the Atlanta Hawks in an NBA Cup Group Stage game, seeing the in-season tournament as an opportunity to reset and regain momentum.
