Parramatta Eels’ Mitchell Moses Highlights Importance of Fast Start to NRL Season
Parramatta Eels‘ halfback Mitchell Moses emphasizes the significance of a strong start to the NRL season, aiming to avoid a repeat of previous struggles. After a 26-16 victory in a trial match against Gold Coast, Moses showcased his prowess with seamless plays alongside teammates Clint Gutherson and Dylan Brown.
The Eels’ disappointing 2023 campaign saw them languishing in 14th place after eight rounds, ultimately missing out on the finals. However, Moses is determined to turn the tide this season and believes a quick start is pivotal for their success.
Reflecting on their preseason preparations, Moses reveals that having a full offseason to train together has bolstered their chemistry on the field. Coach Brad Arthur has a healthy selection headache with the squad looking fit and ready for the upcoming challenges.
Despite the trial match being just a warm-up, Moses attributes their on-field cohesion to the extensive training sessions they’ve had since November. The Eels are focused on taking each game as it comes to position themselves strongly for the latter stages of the season.
To enhance team bonding and break the monotony of regular training, the Eels ventured on camps away from their usual training base at Kellyville Park. Moses credits these experiences for rejuvenating the team’s mindset and fostering a positive environment for growth and development.
