Paul Mescal wraps up filming for Gladiator sequel, reveals potential release date
Paul Mescal, the Irish actor known for his role in the hit series Normal People, has announced the completion of filming for the long-awaited Gladiator sequel. Directed by Ridley Scott, who also helmed the original 2000 film, the sequel has been highly anticipated by fans.
Mescal revealed the news during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, mentioning that filming had just wrapped up the day before. Jokingly, he said, ‘I survived it,’ implying the intense nature of the shoot.

Mescal enthusiastically agreed to the role, stating, ‘Is the Pope Catholic? Yeah!’

Scott explained how he watched the entire series and subsequently realized Mescal would be a perfect fit for Gladiator 2.
