Paulina Porizkova Returns as Estée Lauder Ambassador, Redefining Beauty Standards
NEW YORK — Supermodel and anti-ageism advocate Paulina Porizkova has rejoined Estée Lauder as a global brand ambassador, marking a full-circle moment in her decades-long career. The 59-year-old, who first represented the luxury beauty brand in the 1980s, will now champion its skincare, makeup, and fragrance lines while promoting a pro-aging message.
Porizkova, known for her candid discussions about aging on Instagram and in her book, “No Filter: The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful,” emphasized the significance of her new role. “This time around, [Lauder] has contacted me because they like what I’m doing as myself, not just for an image of myself,” she said during a Zoom interview from her New York home. “I’ve been very open and honest about aging and how, I believe, we as women enter a different phase of life.”
The partnership underscores a shared mission to redefine beauty standards. Porizkova has already begun advocating for changes within the brand, including renaming products to avoid the term “anti-aging.” She proposed replacing “Youth” with “You” in the Revitalizing Supreme+ Youth Power Moisturizer Creme, a suggestion the company is reportedly considering.
Justin Boxford, Global Brand President of Estée Lauder, praised Porizkova’s authenticity. “Paulina’s voice, authenticity, and ability to connect with women on the deepest level is the embodiment of everything Estée Lauder stands for,” he said. “She is changing the conversation around aging, and we want to be the megaphone to help amplify her message.”
Porizkova’s first campaign for the brand will debut this spring, focusing on the Revitalizing Supreme+ franchise. She joins a roster of high-profile ambassadors, including Ana de Armas, Carolyn Murphy, and Karlie Kloss.
Reflecting on her return, Porizkova said, “This is about more than representation. It is about being seen and celebrated.” She added, “With age comes power and possibility.”
