MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Horror fans are in for a treat as Pete Davidson stars in the psychological thriller “The Home,” filmed in various locations throughout Morris County. The film, set to be released on July 25, features Davidson as Max, a new employee at a senior citizen home.

Max discovers that the residents and caretakers at the facility harbor dark secrets. The film primarily took place at the now-closed Saint Francis Residential Community in Denville, providing a chilling backdrop for the story. During shooting, other locations included Nutley, Garret Mountain Reservation, a Mobil gas station in Woodland Park, the Madison Hotel, and a storefront in Elizabeth.

The project wrapped filming in 2022, and anticipation has grown among fans following the release of the trailer. The film holds a rating of R and marks Davidson’s second foray into the horror genre, following his previous role in “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies” released in 2022.

Directed by James DeMonaco, known for his work on “The Purge,” the film’s combination of a familiar comedic actor with a sinister plot has intrigued viewers. The movie promises to blend psychological thrills with unexpected twists, maintaining the unsettling atmosphere that horror enthusiasts crave.

As the release date approaches, fans and locals alike are eager to see how Morris County’s landmarks are transformed on screen.
