Pete Davidson Colin Jost Friendship Cartier Watch

LOS ANGELES, CA — Comedian Pete Davidson recently opened up about the challenges of dating in the public eye during an interview highlighting both personal and professional developments in his life. In a conversation with a major entertainment outlet, he also addressed his friendship with former ‘Saturday Night Live‘ co-star Colin Jost.

Amid rumors of a feud, Davidson confirmed that he gifted Jost, 42, a Cartier watch valued at $20,000. This gesture comes after they both quelled speculation of any disagreements back in January. A source shared with E! News that the costly gift underscores their strong camaraderie.

“I talked to Colin last week, and we have tons of stuff going on with it,” Davidson said, alluding to their joint investment in a decommissioned ferry boat they purchased in 2022. The duo, alongside The Stand comedy club founder Paul Italia, bought the vessel with aspirations to transform it into an entertainment venue.

During his January appearance on ‘Weekend Update,’ Davidson described the ferry as “the biggest one; it’s like a 5,000-seater,” expressing their emotional attachment to it by noting, “We rode on that ferry.” Although they initially intended to repurpose the boat, Jost has humorously referred to the venture as “the biggest mistake” in the years since.

However, Davidson remains optimistic about their plans. “We have a really extensive plan and we’re a lot closer than people seem to think,” he added, quashing ongoing rumors about potential fallout between the two.

Additionally, Davidson, 31, spoke candidly about his path to sobriety and what he termed his “clean slate.” Reflecting on past decisions, he remarked, “I made a lot of those decisions before rehab. I have the dumbest tattoos. I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts.”

He expressed regret over his tattoos, stating, “When I’m 40, it’ll all be gone.” He elaborated on the difficulties of removing colored tattoos compared to black and white ones. Davidson’s recent comments come as he adjusts to new personal priorities following his rehabilitation journey.

E! News has reached out to representatives for both Davidson and Jost for further comments but has not yet received a response. The report of Davidson’s gift to Jost was originally covered by an entertainment news outlet.
