Petree Garden Center & Florist Up for Sale After Seven Successful Years
Laurel Hardin, the general manager of Petree Garden Center & Florist, has announced that she is looking to sell her cherished business after seven thriving years. She recently shared the news with the Los Alamos Daily Post, expressing her desire for a new challenge.
Hardin emphasized that this decision is not due to any pressure or urgent need to sell. Instead, it’s a personal choice to explore other opportunities after successfully building Petree into a profitable oasis in the community.
In her words, she’s excited about the potential for someone with energy and creativity to take over and continue the legacy of this beloved garden center. “It’s inventory, it’s location, it’s clientele,” she noted, highlighting the strong foundation that’s been established.
During her time in business, Hardin has nurtured a dedicated fan base, many of whom showed their support during the challenging times of COVID by sending her small gifts through the mail. “We have something beautiful and loved by the community,” she said, reassuring customers that the garden center is not closing down.
Hardin is hopeful that someone will come forward to take the reins, preserving the shop’s reputation and continuing to serve the community. Anyone interested in learning more about the sale can visit Petree Garden Center or reach out to her directly at 505.257.6030.
Petree Garden Center & Florist is located at 2470 East Road and is well-stocked with a variety of flowers, trees, shrubs, and garden supplies. Alongside its gardening offerings, it features a gift shop stocked with unique items crafted by local artisans.
