Phineas And Ferb Comic Con 2024

The long-awaited revival of the popular animated series “Phineas and Ferb” was officially announced at New York Comic Con, much to the delight of fans. Co-creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh took the stage to reveal exciting details about the new season slated to premiere in 2025 on Disney Channel and Disney+.

During the panel discussion, the creators were joined by cast members Vincent Martella, reprising his role as Phineas Flynn, and David Errigo Jr., who has voiced Ferb Fletcher since 2020. Other returning cast members include Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro. Povenmire continues his role as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, and Marsh returns as Major Francis Monogram.

According to Disney, the new season’s storyline sees the inventive stepbrothers, Phineas and Ferb, engaging in their usual summer hijinks over another 104 days. Candace Flynn is still determined to catch them in the act while their pet, Perry the Platypus, maintains his undercover operations as Agent P, targeting Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s villainous schemes.

“Phineas and Ferb” originally aired from 2008 to 2015, garnering significant acclaim and popularity. The series, which included 126 episodes and two television movies, became Disney Television Animation’s most successful animated series among kids aged 6-11 and tweens 9-14. It won five Emmy Awards and expanded into a global franchise, featuring merchandise ranging from toys to apparel and video games.

In their NYCC panel, Povenmire and Marsh shared a sneak peek of the upcoming season with the song “Summer Is Starting Right Now” and noted a blend of returning and new writers contributing to the series, including Olivia Olson, who voices Vanessa Doofenshmirtz.

Disney has confirmed the fifth season will consist of 40 episodes. The show’s revival was first announced in January 2023, creating anticipation among its enthusiastic fan base. The original series, along with its movies “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension” and “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe,” are available for streaming on Disney+.
